Provides a source of essential statistics for the regions of England and the constituent countries of the UK (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). The tables provide a range of demographic, social and economic statistics.

These tables present one- and five-year age-standardised net survival estimates for the 28 Cancer Networks of England, for patients who were diagnosed with a cancer of the stomach during 1997–2010 and followed up to 31 December 2011. One-year survival estimates are reported for patients diagnosed in 1997, 2002, 2006 and 2010, and five-year survival estimates for those diagnosed in 1997, 2002 and 2006.

Contains cost indices (purchase of materials and fuels, average weekly earnings, general expenses and combined costs) relating to four aerospace and electronics industries. The data are based on the Standard Industrial Classification SIC (2007) and are calculated on a base year of 2005=100. The indices are widely used by government and business as an authoritative source of information on inflation, cost adjusting and price variation in trading contracts. Indices for the latest two months are always provisional and flagged with a "p" marker due to the level of imputation present for items where the latest prices are not available. This level of imputation reduces significantly for earlier months, allowing index data to be published as firm values. Occasionally, new information produces a change in the value of an index already published as firm. Where change is significant, index values are recalculated and annotated with an "r" marker.

This publication is produced monthly and provides price movement data at all manufacturing, aggregated industry and product group level. It consists of data supplied from individual UK manufacturers, importers and exporters. This paper describes a method used to produce a modelled back series for CPI growth rates covering the period 1950-1988. The difference between the RPI and the CPI is modelled back through time via using an ARIMA model and other available data. Series included in the approach include the 12 two-digit CPI categories and the all-items series. The accompanying Excel file contains the modelled series.

Contains the latest public sector employment estimates. For most sources that contribute to these statistics, the employment is reported for a specific day in September 2012. The public sector comprises central government, local government and public corporations as defined for the UK National Accounts. Estimates of public sector employment are provided on a headcount and full-time equivalent basis for sectors and industries, and also by region on a headcount basis only. In addition, Civil Service employment is provided by government department and agency. Employment in Executive Non-Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) is provided by sponsoring department. Since the inclusion of some financial institutions in the public sector in 2009, estimates for public sector employment and employment in public corporations have been provided with and without these financial institutions. Estimates of private sector employment are provided.

Labour Force Survey summary (employment, unemployment and inactivity) for men aged from 16 to 64 and women aged from 16 to 59. The employment and inactivity rates shown in this table were the headline employment and inactivity rates until August 2010, when ONS replaced these headlines rates with rates for those aged from 16 to 64 for both men and women. These new headline rates for those aged from 16 to 64 are shown in Table A02. Labour market summary (employment, unemployment and inactivity) for people below state pension age. Between 2010 and 2018 the state pension age for women will increase gradually from 60 to 65. Estimates in this table follow the incemental increase in the female state pension age each quarter. These estimates are not the headline labour force survey estimates - they are shown at Table A02.
