The provisional average house price in Dacorum in September 2024 was £464,000. This was in line with the average of £462,000 in September 2023 (revised), a 0.4% change.

Across the East of England, the average house price in September 2024 was £342,000, which was slightly more than a year earlier (£339,000).

Across Great Britain, a home sold for an average of £294,000 in September 2024, which was up from the September 2023 average of £286,000.

In the year to September 2024, the average price for flats in Dacorum rose by 1.7%, while the average price for detached properties stayed around the same over the year.

For each property type, average prices as of September 2024 in Dacorum were:

• Detached properties: £950,000
• Semi-detached properties: £533,000
• Terraced properties: £406,000
• Flats and maisonettes: £286,000

Average private rents rose in Dacorum
