Under the Freedom of Information Act I would like to know how many appeals were made against Visa application refusals and the reasons behind them (this would include region, year from 2005-most recent and also visa category e.g. 'Work, Study, Other...').
I would like to receive this information via e-mail – if clearly laid out in an excel spreadsheet this would be most applicable.
An example of how it could be laid out is:
Year | Region | Category | Refusal number | Refusal reason |
---|---|---|---|---|
2005 | Africa North | Work | 2000 | Insufficient funds |
2006 | Asia South | Study | 2356 | Study can be done remotely |
2007 | Europe Other | Other | 1275 | Incorrect Visa application |
2007 | Europe Other | Other | 4567 | Fraudulent application |
2007 | Europe Other | Dependent | 1234 | Criminal background |
2008 | Middle East | Family | 6788 | Insufficient funds |
2009 | Africa Sub-Saharan | Family | 5432 | Family do not hold British citizenship |

I would like to know how many individuals use third-parties for their Visa application (excluding those that are completed by an individual's company) including the year from 2005-most recent, region, Visa category (E.g. 'Work, Study, Other...').
To clarify, by 'Third Parties' I mean those that individuals will pay to complete their application for them (or if there are statistics, how many pay for assistance). An example of such a service can be found here - https://www.firstmigration.com/
An example of how it could be laid out is:
Year | Region | Category | Number |
---|---|---|---|
2005 | Africa North | Work | 26,764 |
2005 | Asia East | Study | 32,890 |
2006 | EU Other | Dependent | 45,656 |
2007 | Middle East | Study | 12,876 |
2009 | Oceania | Other | 10,345 |
