You asked

I was wondering if I could be provided with the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:

  1. The number of live births in Sussex County for each year from 2000-2023

  2. The number of live births in East Sussex for each year from 2000-2023

  3. The number of live births in West Sussex for each year from 2000-2023

  4. The number of live births in Brighton for each year from 2000-2023

Our Births Summary tables provide the number of live births by local authority for births occurring between 2008 and 2022. Information on live births by local authority for 2023 can be found in our Births in England and Wales publication. 

The additional information you require would need to be created as a custom output. Information on live births by county and local authority for births occurring between 2000 and 2007 along with other special extracts and tabulations of births data for England and Wales are available to order. Please note these services are subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs in line with our charging policy.
