Thank you for your Freedom of Information request about how many people have turned voting age since 23 June 2016 and how many people aged 18 and over have died since the same date.
Unfortunately, we do not have all the data you require. The most relevant data would be our population estimates but we do not have data available from specific dates. These estimates are an annual publication produced on a mid-year point of 30 June. These estimates are rolled-forward from the census and annual adjustments are then made based on components of change such as migration, deaths and births. Before considering these though we must highlight that not everybody who is 18 is eligible to vote and not everybody who is entitled to vote is registered to vote, therefore the population estimates are not an estimate of the increased number of voters. Please follow this link to our population estimates. Select the mid 2017 estimates, which are the latest available, and then select tab ‘MYE2-All’, which has single year of age data available within it. This will provide you with estimates of those living in the UK/individual countries by the ages you are interested in. This will however, not be able to provide an estimate of those of a particular age from a mid-year point to the current date.
Regarding the number of deaths of those aged 18 and over since 23 June 2016 to the current date, we do not have data from a specific date and single year of age readily available. We do publish single year of age deaths data but this is for calendar years, the most recent of which is for 2017. You could usually acquire data for specific time periods and age by means of an adhoc request (subject to our charging policy) but this would not be available up to the current date, as the 2017 is the latest data available. For any future consideration, adhoc requests are where we would need to do a special extract and tabulation of the data as it is not published. Any data ordered is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate.
