I note that the statistics prepared by the ONS are calculated July to July each year. However our taxes are calculated April to April each year. As a consequence people cannot calculate their tax obligations independently of the Tax Office. Therefore, I want to receive the actual stats for March to March each year. The figures produced by the ONS seem not to include extra costs levied on the insurance.

Thank you for your request.
ONS publishes inflation statistics on a monthly basis, so if you look through our page of previous releases, you can find the month or months you're interested in.
We note you're concerned that ONS inflation figures don't include extra costs levied on the insurance industry by the government, but our consumer price inflation statistics reflect the prices paid by households to businesses and not the costs businesses incur while producing goods and services. Therefore, costs levied on the insurance industry by government wouldn't directly appear in our consumer price statistics.
