We said
Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide you with the number of deaths of people who received a booster at least 21 days ago for the UK between 1 January 2019 and 1 January 2022, that were not suffering from a terminal illness.
We only hold vaccinations data from the National Immunisation Management Service (NIMS) for England, not the UK.
In order to fulfil this request using data for England, we would need use a high level of statistical skill and judgement including linkage of complex data from mortality data to the vaccination data from the National Immunisation Management Service and to the General Practice Extraction Service data and Hospital Episode Statistics to identify terminal illness, in order to create a bespoke analysis or table. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
We published the number of deaths involving COVID-19 with 21 days of a COVID-19 vaccination by vaccination status, including for people who had had a booster dose at least 21 days ago, in our most recent release of Deaths by Vaccination Status, for people aged 10+. These counts are for deaths that occurred in 2021 and were registered by 12 January 2022. These can be found in Table 12 of the dataset. These are not broken down by whether someone had a terminal illness or not.
