I would like to request information for death registrations where diabetic deaths and COVID-19 related and mentioned on the death certificate. It would be useful if this was further broken down as type 1 or type 2 (ICD-10: E10-E14).
I understand that you have had similar requests in the past and did not have this data available in 2020.
If you are unable to provide the data in the requested breakdown, any data related to this would be most appreciated.
To clarify, I am requesting for COVID-19 death related data with Diabetes mentioned on the death certificate.

Our Pre-existing Conditions publication shows the number of deaths due to COVID-19 along with the top 20 pre-existing conditions, which includes diabetes. This publication covers deaths registered between January 2020 and June 2023.
If this publication does not meet your needs, user requests and bespoke tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate).
Such enquiries would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and should be made to: Health.Data@ons.gov.uk.
