We only hold data for England and Wales. For Scotland and Northern Ireland data you will need to contact the National Records of Scotland and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Centre, respectively.
We publish deaths registered Weekly in England and Wales which includes figures for deaths by all respiratory diseases as an underlying cause.
We also publish death by underlying cause in death registrations summary tables for England and Wales. The latest year which we published the data for is Death Registrations in England and Wales 2018.
This information can be obtained from our NOMIS webservice. This is an interactive web tool that allows you to create your own tables by sex, geographic area, age, and underlying cause of death. You can obtain mortality data from 2018-2013, using J09-J11 cause code for Influenza
We may be able to create a custom output. Information on deaths registered as suicide along with other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order. These will be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs (where appropriate).
