I am trying to get data on 2 questions:
The first is the approximate numbers for A&E admissions that are linked to use of chemsex drugs. Anecdotally this is thought it include at least one ambulance call a day in London.
The second is the related mortality linked to chemsex which anecdotally is suggested at being three deaths a month in London.
Any data, in terms of regions would be a good start, for example, even if this is first restricted to London hospitals. Ideally it would cover other major cities, or hopefully nationally.
These three main drugs are:
Methamphetamine (crystal/crystal meth/Tina/meth).
Mephedrone (meph/drone).
GHB/GBL (G, Gina).
Sometimes this might include cocaine and/or ketamine.

We produce regular statistics on deaths related to drug poisoning in England and Wales. We include a dataset that records which substances were involved in these deaths. The time series for this data goes back to 1993 and will be updated with 2023 data in our Deaths related to drug poisoning in England and Wales: 2023 registrations release, which is scheduled for publication on 26 September 2024.
