Thank you for your request.
Our mortality statistics are derived for information collected at death registration. Unfortunately, the death registration does not include details of a person’s sexual orientation or ethnicity.
However, we have produced this output looking at Sociodemographic Inequalities in Suicides in England and Wales which provides some information on the deceased ethnicity.
In order to completely fulfil this request on suicides by ethnicity, we would need use a high level of statistical skill and judgement in order to create a bespoke analysis or table. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
We do not hold data on incidence or diagnosis of any conditions. Your questions on incidents involving suicide attempts, self-harm, anxiety and depression may be better placed to NHS England.
