We request the following statistics:

A monthly breakdown of crimes committed against children (under the age of 18) in the UK in 2014.

A monthly breakdown of crimes committed against children (under the age of 18) for the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Brent and Camden in 2014.

A monthly breakdown of crimes committed against children (under the age of 18) in Bristol in 2014.

A monthly breakdown of numbers of children (under 18) and young people (under 25) being 'picked up' by the Police.

We said

Unfortunately ONS do not have the information specified in your request but we have provided a more general picture of crimes committed against children over the previous year and hope that the information supplied will be of use. Where possible we have also suggested additional points of contact where further information may be available.

The relevant data collected in the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) is based on interviews with children aged 10-15. From this we have estimates of victimisation against children in that age range. Although these figures do not provide figures against children under the age of 18 (as you requested) and only provide figures for England and Wales as a whole, we hope that they will be of benefit to you. The latest quarterly bulletin shows that in the year ending December 2014, there were 767,000 crimes experienced by children aged 10-15.

Unfortunately, due to the small number of children interviewed in the survey, it is not possible to provide information either at a lower geography than England and Wales, or data on a monthly basis.
