You asked
I am interested in 10 years of UK data for the number of offences committed by young people (under 18 years old) for the following of offences:
- Murder
- Terror offences
- Robbery
- Knife carrying
I've had a look at your published data and see some similarities so was wondering if you have access to/could provide the data for the number of those offences specifically from 2014-2024?

Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we do not hold the information that you have requested. Crime data published by the Office for National Statistics are produced from two sources of data; the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and police recorded crime (PRC) data provided by the Home Office. The CSEW is a victimisation survey, and PRC data covers the offences reported to and recorded by the police. Neither of these data sources contain information on people who commit crimes.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) are responsible for collating data on offenders, prosecutions and convictions in England and Wales. Their annual publications for youth justice statistics from year ending March 2014 to their recent publication for year ending March 2023 can be found here. These publications cover the number of children (aged 10 to 17) in the youth justice system, the offences they committed, the outcomes they received, the demographics and the trends over time.
The MoJ may be able to provide more help regarding your request. They can be contacted at CJS_Statistics@justice.gov.uk.
