I would like to make a Freedom of Information Request for population data for Newham and Westminster as a yearly summary for the period October 2004 to October 2014. I would like to also request an ethnic minority breakdown for each year.
We said
The ONS's standard population estimates relate to end-June of each year (rather than October as you have requested). These are published, for Newham, City of Westminster, and other local authorities in the UK, and for regions in England, including London, on the ONS website at:
Estimates for 2014 will be published in June 2015.
We do not produce an ethnic breakdown as part of these population estimates.
However, figures from the Annual Population Survey which do provide an estimated breakdown by White/Ethnic minority are published on the NOMIS website. These estimates are provided for years ending December 2004 to the year ending June 2014.
