You asked
Please provide the following statistics relating to Punjabi women in the UK:
- Ratio of men to women in the UK
- The ethnic breakdown of women in the UK (how many of these women are Punjabi?)
- How many women on average per year are 'diagnosed' (meaning, confirmed by the doctors - this is how it's done in the US) with menopause (I understand this may be sensitive so it's okay if this is not possible)
- Breakdown of age and gender in the UK i.e. percentage of women at age 40-60 for example

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request about Punjabi women in the UK.
Our mid-2019 Population Estimates are the latest information about the age and sex breakdown of the UK population. The MYE2 tables from the downloadable dataset provide single year of age for "All persons, Males and Females" from which you can obtain the ratio of men to women and the breakdown of age and sex, such as the 40 to 60 age group.
Our Nomis website will allow you to tailor a Query Data request to allow you to more flexibly answer your questions.
While we do produce ethnicity statistics, the latest we have available measuring the Punjabi population is from the 2011 Census. Table CT0575 was published as user requested data on 30 March 2016. The data for Punjabi is on row 87 in this table. However, this is not broken down further by age or sex. A further breakdown may be available upon request. This bespoke analysis service might be chargeable and would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs, where appropriate. You can find information on our charging policy here. If you would like to request such analysis, please contact pop.info@ons.gov.uk to discuss.
Unfortunately, we do not hold data enabling us to answer the "diagnosed with menopause" part of your request. NHS Digital may be better placed to help with this element of the request. They can be contacted at enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk.
Please do not hesitate to contact us directly at pop.info@ons.gov.uk if you require anything further.
