I would like to know the following, from 2000 to 2024, in England, differentiated by county in England and age:
- the number of women who died by suicide after giving birth up to a year post partum
- the number of women who died by suicide who were diagnosed with Post Partum/Post Natal Depression
- the number of women who died by suicide whilst pregnant

We publish regular annual and quarterly statistics on suicide registrations in England and Wales. These statistics are based on the details collected when deaths are certified and registered. However, unfortunately, the ONS does not collect any information on whether the deceased had recently given birth, was pregnant or was diagnosed with Post Partum/Post Natal Depression.
In the longer term, Death Certification Reform will enable the ONS to obtain data on the pregnancy status of the deceased.
