Thank you for your request.
We publish crime data primarily from two sources:
Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) - a household victimisation survey that asks respondents about their experiences of crime, regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police;
Police recorded crime (from the Home Office) - offences that are reported to and/or recorded by police forces in England and Wales.
For each of these data sources, we do hold information about vehicle-related thefts - the latest of which are available in our publication named Crime in England and Wales: year ending September 2023. However, unfortunately, we do not hold data on the make or model of "on the road" or stolen vehicles.
Vehicle licensing statistics are published by the Department for Transport (DfT) and are available via the following link: Vehicle licencing statistics. DfT can be contacted regarding these data via: vehicles.stats@dft.gov.uk.
Responses to previous Freedom of Information (FoI) requests are available on our website via the following link: FOI published requests.
Additionally, we provide users with bespoke datasets on request on an ad hoc basis, which are available on our website here: ONS: User requested datasets.
If you are interested specifically in vehicle-related data, entering "vehicle" in the search keywords box on these webpages should help in narrowing down the relevant requests.
If you have any other crime-related queries in the future, you can email crimestatistics@ons.gov.uk.
