Sir David Norgrove was appointed Chair of the Authority in March 2017. Since then he has not personally met with any MSPs or SNP MPs. However, the UK Statistics Authority maintains a close relationship with the parliaments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. During the same period, Ed Humpherson, Director General for Regulation has met several times with MSPs including Lewis MacDonald, Jackie Baillie, Alex Neil and Elaine Smith. The Authority has worked directly with the Scottish Parliament, with Ed Humpherson and Jonathan Athow appearing in person before the Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Committee in November 2017. In addition, the Office for Statistics Regulation has organised presentations and visits with the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe), including an all-office visit in July 2018. The Authority also tables its annual reports each year before the Scottish Parliament.
