I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding investment into Research and Development within Football UK. Specifically, I am requesting data linked to R&D within the Premier League, Championship, League One, and League Two.

Please provide the following information:

  1. The total spend on R&D in each of the named divisions and the average amount of R&D expenditure
  2. Data separated by each calendar year for the past 10 years (2014–2024).
  3. A breakdown of total expenditure by region/county and the average amount of R&D expenditure
  4. Any additional relevant details or reports regarding trends within Footballs investment in R&D
