About this programme 

The Ambitious, Radical, Inclusive Economic Statistics (ARIES) programme was launched in April 2022. It aims to provide clear and insightful economic, social and environmental statistics and analysis to inform decision-making across the UK in an inclusive, timely and sustainable way. This has a broad reach, affecting several important economic outputs. The ARIES Programme will close in March 2025.

Objectives 

The ARIES programme has three main objectives:  

  •  to improve our core statistical offering and maintain international standards and comparability, in line with user needs  

  •  to exploit new data sources and innovative methods to inform better quality, and more timely and relevant statistics   

  •  to manage the risk to existing Economic, Social and Environment Group (ESEG) outputs
