We have now adopted the new UK classification of International Territorial Levels (ITL) in place of the Nomenclature of Units for Territorial Statistics (NUTS) classification. This transition has not changed the names of regions, or the areas covered by them; it is simply a change to the codes used (for example, UKC is now TLC). The latest data, according to the new ITL classification, are available at Regional gross value added (balanced) by industry: local authorities by ITL1 region.
