Estimates of international travel and tourism visits of less than 12 months duration in 2013. Includes the associated earnings and expenditure involved, with the exchange of approximately £50 billion of trade between the UK and the rest of the world. Results taken from the International Passenger Survey (IPS) show that 2013 saw the highest number of visits to the UK by overseas residents and the highest recorded spending since the IPS began in 1961

Breakdowns by length of stay and nationality are covered. In 2019, new methods were introduced for this dataset. The 2009 to 2019 edition supersedes all previous time series editions of this dataset. We advise against using all editions listed before the 2019 edition.
