Dataset 2020-based interim national population projections: year ending June 2022 estimated international migration variant

We advise users to use the 2020-based interim national population projections: year ending June 2022 estimated international migration variant instead of the 2020-based interim national population principal projections published in January 2022. This is because this release includes more recent estimates of international migration in the averages used to calculate the short- and long-term international migration assumptions.

A minor formatting issue has been corrected in the Scotland population in age groups dataset. Please note that there have been no changes to the data in this dataset.

About this Dataset

2020-based interim national population projections with assumptions of possible future international migration that reflect estimates of international migration to year ending June 2022. The potential future population size of the UK, Great Britain, England and Wales, England, Scotland and Wales. These statistics are widely used in planning, for example, fiscal projections, health, education and pensions. Not national statistics.
