Avoidable mortality in England and Wales: 2021 and 2022

Summary
Deaths from causes that are considered avoidable in the presence of timely and effective healthcare or public health interventions. Data are based on a revised definition of avoidable mortality (introduced in data year 2014) for all persons and a separate indicator for children and young people. The time series has been revised using new rebased population estimates from 2012.

Data for England are presented for ICBs for years 2021 and 2022, and for CCGs for 2001 to 2020.
