Summary

During the first wave of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic period (March 2020 to present) there have been a variety of changes to the processes in which deaths are certified and registered under the Coronavirus Act 2020. We describe what these changes are and how they may have affected the quality of death registration data.
