Summary

We present the 2016 values of international exports of services split by functional category from the nine English regions, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This adds the latest year’s figures to last year’s experimental analysis which presented NUTS1-level service exports for 2011 to 2015. Estimates by region and country of the UK are broadly consistent with the national totals shown in the UK Balance of Payments, and with goods exports from HMRC’s Regional Trade Statistics.
