This publication has been cancelled to allow for additional time to undertake additional quality assurance checks and ensure the analysis is robust.
Summary
Premature mortality rates for Upper Tier Local Authorities (UTLA) in England. Descriptive statistics are broken down by age, sex, ethnicity, Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), National Statistics – Socioeconomic Status (NS-SEC), and highest qualification. Includes estimated premature mortality rates (i.e., Incidence Rates) and outputs from Poisson regression models (i.e., Incidence Rate Ratios) that were used to explore geographical inequalities in premature mortality after adjusting for various sociodemographic factors. This work is commissioned by the Health Foundation and will aim to shed more light on the factors associated with geographical inequalities in premature mortality.
